On Saturday, August 14th, 2021 we hosted an event in the Hamptons to celebrate a new world of distribution and diversity. Fylí, along with James Lane Post, Misfit, and NOVA Impact brought together our communities, diverse community leaders, impact experts, creatives, investors, venture capital funds and incredible entrepreneurs for a fun, impactful event.

Our Purpose

With our #YouBelong Summer Soiree, we wanted to create a more inclusive Hamptons and celebrate the diversity of its community and visitors. The Hamptons has had a reputation for having a “white privileged crowd.” We wanted to change this narrative and welcome fresh ideas centered on diversity. Our event title #YouBelong speaks to our purpose in encouraging inclusion by expressing the idea that everyone has a place. This event was also an opportunity for us to reconnect and engage face-to-face with our community after being in quarantine for a year! Being able to interact with our Tribe and Master-mind members in an exciting, safe way was truly a highlight of the event.

The entire day was filled with networking and true community building, fostering new partnerships + collaborations, and building towards the future. We enjoyed delicious food, tasted creative cocktails from Pomp & Whimsy, practiced guided meditations led by Donna D’Cruz, awed at stunning artwork, listened to powerful panels, and shopped with amazing companies founded by women in our community!

Great Awakening Panel

Speaking to diversity and inclusion, one of our panels was the “Great Awakening”. So much has happened in the past few years that has threatened cultural unity: Black Lives Matter, the Covid-19 outbreak, Asian Hate, and isolated communities. Throughout the event, our panelists discussed these issues and ways on how we can create a safer, more unified future.

We want to thank our moderators and panelists for participating in this wonderful panel:
